WEST, Frederick Henry. (W.W.I Veteran, M.M. & Bar) (Recipient of the French Legion of Honour, Royal Montreal Regiment). Peacefully at Strathaven Life Care Centre on Monday, May 1, 2000 in his one hundred and first year. Beloved husband of the late Elmira. Dear father of Norman of Campbell River, B.C., Fred of Clayton, Ontario, Frieda Solima of Bowmanville. Survived by his ten grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandsons. A Memorial Service will be held at The Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home, 53 Division Street N. Bowmanville, on Saturday, May 27, 2000 at 2 p.m. Donations to the Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund in Fred's memory would be greatly appreciated.
