SPRENGER, Eric Aloys. Peacefully on May 5, 2000 at Brockville, Ontario in his ninety-second year. Beloved husband of Marion Alexia MacLean. Dear father of Elizabeth and Alec (Leslie). A graduate of Rothesay Collegiate, New Brunswick and McGill ('40) in Mechanical Engineering, he worked most of his career at Dominion Engineering Works, Lachine. An athlete, inventor, historical writer and lover of all things mechanical, he was a founding member of SPAAMFAA, an antique fire truck club, his proudest achievement in life being the complete restoration of a 1927 Seagrave Pumper. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 10 at 11 a.m. in the Johnstown United Church, located at highway #2 and highway #16, Johnstown, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
