THOMPSON, Stanley The family announces with sorrow his death, Saturday May 6th, 2000, at the Sudbury Regional Hospital (Laurentian Site), at the age of 71 years. Son of the late Hector Thompson and of the late Elsie Thompson-Ritchie (née Moore). Beloved husband of Joséphine Thompson (née Baznik) of Sudbury. Loving father of Darlene (Mrs. Roger Voogt) of Oshawa, Beverly Charles of Sudbury and Craig (wife Bernadette) of Whitefish. Dear brother of Keith Thompson (wife Penny) of Sudbury. Survived by 6 grandchildren, Peter, Victoria, Dawn (husband Jamie McNaughton), Sarne, Jessica and Amelia. Fondly remembered by his niece Karen Kerton (husband Patrick) and nephews Alan Thompson (wife Nancy) and Terry Thompson (wife Jennifer). Stanley was a longtime member of Lockerby Kiwanis, owned and operated a construction company in Sudbury and managed Gloria's Restaurant before retiring. At the family's request there will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will be held Monday May 8th, at 11:00 a.m. in Glad Tidings Tabernacle Church, Sudbury.
