GOUIN, Genevieve Rose (Jeanne) (nee Brunet) 87 years, was welcomed home into the loving arms of Jesus on May 24, 2000. Loving wife of the late Donat Gouin (1994). Loving Mom to seven children; Anita and Ken Robinson, Roger Gouin, Henriette and Henry Trautman, Suzanne and Emil Bolleyn, Mimi and Robert Arquette, Marc and Elaine Gouin, Jules and Maggie Gouin. Jeanne was a loving meme to nineteen grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren. Dear sister of Lucien Brunet, Alma Talbot, and the late Yvette Marchand, Edna Ture, Edgar Brunet, Lucienne Turpin, and Elzire Deschamps. Thank you, Mom, for giving your family such a rich heritage of faith. You've taught us so much through your godly example, what it means to be patient and wait on the Lord's timing. What it means to have the heart of a servant by serving the needs of others before your own. And most importantly, what it means to know God and seek him with all your heart. We love you very much Mom, and are so thankful for the gift of having you in our lives. Please come and share with us in the celebration of our mother's life. Visiting Thursday 3-5 & 7-9, Friday 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. at the Marcotte Funeral Home and Chapel, 12105 Tecumseh Rd., Tecumseh (735-2830). Prayers Friday evening (time later). The funeral service will be held on Saturday (time later) at St. Jerome Church. As your expression of sympathy, a donation to Our Lady's Mission Club, 9605 Asgard Rd., Windsor, N8R 1E1, would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Genevieve Gouin in the Janisse, Marcotte, Melady Memorial Forest. A dedication service will be held October 1, 2000.(The Windsor Star)
