GRUMMETT, George Albert Peacefully at the Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital, Burlington, Ontario on Wednesday, May 24, 2000, age 86 years. He was born in Grey County, the son of the late James and Mildred (nee Winters) Grummett. He is survived by his loving wife, Jacqueline (Leblanc) Grummett and his children, Joan and Don Shaw, King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, Bill and Vicki Grummett, St. Catharines and Elizabeth and Joe Di Crescenzo, Chatham, two stepchildren, Richard and Lucy Leblanc and Celine Leblanc all of Quebec, twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also survived by his brother Gordon and two sisters, Laura Desjardins and Hazel Leichnitz all of Ottawa. Predeceased by his first wife, Doris (nee Sunstrum) Grummett, 1979 and brothers Melvin, Roy and Lloyd. George was retired from the International Harvester Company, Honourary Past President of the Rotary Club of Burlington, a Paul Harris Fellow, Past President of the Burlington Chamber of Commerce and Past District Chairman of the Probus Club. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Friday 3 - 5 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. Christopher's Anglican Church, 662 Guelph Line, Burlington on Saturday, May 27, 2000 at 11 a.m. Cremation. If desired, expressions of sympathy to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
