SANFORD, Elizabeth (Betty) (nee Tourangeau) 76 years, May 25, 2000. Beloved mother of Wayne and his wife Phyllis, Shirley Soutar and her husband Ross, Judy Mayea and her husband Paul, Keith and his wife Cathy, Karen Anderson and her husband Tom, Betty Allard and her husband Paul, Janet Gravel and her husband John, Krystal Copeland, Mark and his wife Christine. Predeceased by her son Clifford Jr. (1995), Phillip and Beverley (1964). Dear grandmother of 23 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Joan Cohan and Jean Fortune. Predeceased by her brothers Bud Tourangeau (1995) and Clayton Tourangeau (1997). Betty was a member of the W.A.A. Women's Auxiliary, Windsor Baseball Club, Windsor Star Baseball Club and the Bingo Committee. Visitation will be held from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Funeral Service will be held Monday, May 29 at 8:45 a.m. from Janisse Brothers Funeral Home and Chapel, 1139 Ouellette Ave., (253-5225) to Assumption Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. Interment Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Parish prayers Sunday at 3 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. A tree will be planted in memory of Betty Sanford, in the Janisse, Marcotte, Melady Memorial Forest. A dedication service will be held October 1, 2000.(The Windsor Star)
