MacDONALD, Joseph P. 72 years, peacefully on May 29, 2000. Born in Creignish Rear, Cape Breton and late of Windsor. Beloved husband of Terry (Taylor) and the late Patricia (nee Alice)(1990). Loving father of William and wife Ruth, Joseph and wife Darlene, Terry and husband Til Sandre and also Les and wife Nancy Taylor, Jacqueline and husband Rand Cooper, Reginald and wife Cindy Taylor and the late Larry and Karen MacDonald. Grandfather of Bill and Heather; Mike, Stephanie and Julie; Nicole, Danielle and Andrea; Scott, Kevin and Kurt; Ryan, Megan; Jeff. Great-grandfather of six. Dear brother of Kay Campbell and the late Stella MacDonald and Ann MacEachern. Will be remembered by many nieces and nephews. Joe was a retired Accountant with over 30 years of service at Giffels Associates of Southfield, Mich., a member of the Bishop J.T. Kidd Council #4924 (Riverside) Knights of Columbus, was a founding member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church and was an avid golfer and bridge player. Visiting Tues. 7-9 and Wed. 2-5 and 7-9pm. Parish Prayers Tues. at 8 pm. K of C Prayers Wed. at 7:30pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Thurs. June 1 at 9:15 am. from The Marcotte Funeral Home and Chapel 12105 Tecumseh Rd, Tecumseh (735-2830) to St. Thomas The Apostle Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am. Fr. Wes Gutowski will be the celebrant. Cremation. As your expression of sympathy a donation to the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Joseph MacDonald in the Janisse, Marcotte, Melady Memorial Forest. A dedication service will be held October 1, 2000. All are welcome.(The Windsor Star)
