SERRÉ Gaston The family announces with sorrow, his sudden death, May 31st, 2000 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital (St. Joseph's Health Centre), at the age of 47 years. Beloved husband of Jeanne Serré (née Gascon) of Hanmer. Loving father of Marc (friend Céline) at home, Jacqueline (friend Tim Dixon) and Méanie both of Markham. Dear brother of Bruno (wife Lorraine) of Blind River, Yvon (wife Claire), Carmen Boudreau (husband Robert) both of Hanmer, Suzanne Serré-Hall (husband Dave) of Mississauga, Joanne Ross (husband Larry) of Sudbury and Gisèle Thibeault (husband Alfred) of Garson. Predeceased by one brother Denis. Predeceased by his mother Marie Serré (née Labelle). Beloved son of Fidel Serré of Hanmer, (wife Rita Brière and by her children Jacques Brière (wife Edmonde), Maurice Brière (wife Dolores), Ronald Brière (wife Carmen), Jocelyne VanSantvoort (husband Denis) all of Hanmer and André Brière (wife Lise) of Azilda. Dear brother-in-law of Anna Lachance (husband André, predeceased), Roger Gascon (wife Lizette), Fernand Gascon (wife Claudette), Steve Gascon all of Hanmer, Carmen Lemieux (husband Don), Rachelle Carrière (husband Norm), Raoul Gascon (wife Jeannine), Claude Gascon (wife Anne), Réjean Gascon and Roland Gascon all of Capreol. Predeceased by one brother-in-law Hector (wife Claudette Gascon of Sudbury). Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Mr. Serré was a used car manager at Laurentian Chrysler for 18 years. Gaston was a very generous person. He was always ready to help others and had a great sense of humour. The family will receive friends at the CO-OPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 4570 St. Joseph Street (at Hwy 69), Hanmer, Thursday from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, June 1st, 2000, at 11:00 a.m., in St. Jacques Church, Hanmer.
