EZZY, Aileen (nee Shattuck). At Mount Sinai Hospital Center on June 1, 2000, after a fifteen-month struggle with cancer. Originally from Saskatchewan, for fifteen years she was a dedicated teacher of English literature and composition at Champlain Regional College in Longueuil. She was a warm and vibrant force in the lives of all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Ezzy, of Outremont; her daughter, Jessica Ouvrard-DeRanitz, of Halifax; her son, Stephane Ouvrard, of Montreal; her sister, Linda Shattuck, of Bury (Quebec); her brother, Douglas Shattuck, of Winnipeg; her first husband, Guy Ouvrard, of St. Paul (Quebec); her nieces, Andrea Cosman of Bury and Ciara Shattuck of Winnipeg; and her nephews, Daniel and Patrick Cosman of Bury and Liam Shattuck of Yellowknife. Visitation at the Kane & Fetterly Funeral Home, 5301 Decarie Blvd (corner Isabella) on Monday, June 5 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Memorial service from the Unitarian Church, 5035 de Maisonneuve West (across Vendome Metro station) on Wednesday, June 7 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Care Programme, St-Mary's Hospital, 3830 Lacombe, Montreal, Quebec, H3T 1M5 would be greatly appreciated by the family.
