ASHTON, Alex. Died peacefully on Friday, June 2, 2000 aged eighty-five years at Mount Sinai Hospital. Beloved husband of Ruth Jewell, loving father of Sheila (Doug), Kerry (Nadia) and Michael (Louise), grandfather of Michaela, Alexis, Dariel, Devin, Christopher, Nicole and Richard, and great-grandfather to Hannah. The family would like to thank the dedicated staff of Mount Sinai, C.L.S.C. Vieux Lachine, and V.O.N. Lachine. Visitation at Lakeshore Cardinal Funeral Home, 560 Lakeshore Drive, Dorval, on Sunday, June 4, from 1 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service at Lakeshore Evangelical Church, 470 Brookhaven Avenue, Dorval at 11 a.m. Monday, June 5. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of donors choice.
