MORTON, Shelley Auerhan. Mrs. Shelley Auerhan Morton, age sixty-five, of Atlanta, GA and formerly of Montreal, died June 13, 2000. Mrs. Morton was an ardent and active participant with several service and religious organizations, some of which include the American Red Cross, Literacy Volunteers of America, Atlanta Interfaith AIDS Network, the Canadian Women's Club, and Temple Sinai, where she lead and served on numerous committees. In 1995, Mrs. Morton was the recipient of the Atlanta Jewish Federation's Women of Achievement Award. She is survived by her husband, George H. Morton, Atlanta; son, Matthew A. Morton, Atlanta; daughters, Wendy A. Morton, San Diego, CA and Caren Amy Rowell, Asheville, NC; and grandchildren, Kimberly Ann Rowell and Jonathan Knox Rowell. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 16 at 12 noon at Temple Sinai (Atlanta) with Rabbi Philip Kranz, Rabbi Ronald Segal, and Cantor Herbert Cole officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park, Atlanta. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Temple Sinai Kesher Committee, Jewish National Fund (plants trees in Israel), the American Lung Association, or Common Ground.
