SIMPSON, George Ernest. Peacefully in his eight-seventh year at the Pierre Boucher Hospital, Longueuil on June 13, 2000. Beloved husband of Frances Violet Cox and father of Marilyn (Ron Jordan, Elizabethtown, N.Y.), Pat (Mississauga), George (Verdun), Judy (Greenfield Park), Ernie (Myrna, Oshawa), Joan (Bart Senos, Mississauga). Also survived by fourteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Joan Webster (Bob, Cowansville) and many nieces, nephews and their families. He was a fifty year employee of CP Rail, a WWII Navy Veteran and a life time member of the Masonic Lodge, St. Lambert #95 and Greenfield Park #133. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Urgel Bourgie. Visitation at Jacques-Cartier Funeral Complex, 1025 St. Laurent West, Longueuil on Thursday, June 15 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A masonic service will be held at 8 p.m. on June 15. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of the complex on Friday, June 16 at 11 a.m. A private burial will take place at a later date. Floral tributes welcomed or memorial donations to Centre Hopitalier Pierre Boucher Foundation, 1333 Boulevard Jacques Cartier E., Longueuil, J4M 2A5, would be appreciated.
