STEEVES, Allison (Al) The death of Allison (Al) Pickard Steeves of New Maryland occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, June 22, 2000. Born in Minto, NB, son of the late Frank and Guida (Pickard) Steeves. Husband of the late Eva (Landry) Steeves. An engineering graduate of Moncton Technical College, worked with Mussens, Dresser, and then General Manager of PES Sales Ltd. Has been retired for the past six years. Past Master of Grand Lake Lodge #47, who enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger years and in recent history enjoyed time spent with the members of the New Maryland Coffee Group. Survived by four children, Glenn Steeves and his wife Jody of Sudbury, ON, Gary Steeves and wife Lisa Steeves of New Maryland, Gail Steeves of Fredericton, and Greg Steeves of Islandview. Also survived by two grandchildren Travis and Devin Steeves of Sudbury, ON, as well as several Aunts, Uncles and cousins. Resting at McADAM'S FUNERAL HOME, 160 York Street, Fredericton with visiting hours from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday June 25th. Funeral Service will be held from the J.A. McAdam Memorial Chapel on Monday, June 26th, at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Ellen Beairsto officiating. Interment to follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association and the Kidney Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family. Members of Grand Lake Lodge #47 will hold Memorial Tribute Sunday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.(The Sudbury Star)
