DUNN, Paul Michael Passed away peacefully on Saturday June 24, 2000, age 64 years, at the General Campus of the Ottawa Hospital, after a short but valiant battle with cancer. Beloved husband and life companion of Eleanor (nee Bates). Dear father of Peter, Mark, John (Judith Sarazin), Laura and Tracy. Grampy to Jeffrey, Joshua and Jesse Sarazin-Dunn and Kevin Cousineau-Dunn. Predeceased by his parents, Earl and Magdalen (Costello) Dunn of Deep River, Ontario and a younger brother, John Francis Dunn of Lively, Ontario. Sadly missed by Fiona (Bates) Duthie of Skelmorlie, Scotland and Stewart Bates of Edinburgh, Scotland who made their home with Paul and Eleanor for a time during their teenage years; Mariam (Bates) Sterling, Cottonwood, Arizona and Gretel (Bates) Nieboer, Calgary, Alberta. Paul was a journalist (Ottawa Journal, Ottawa Citizen, The Canadian Press) and public servant (Prices and Incomes Commission, Treasury Board). Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, on Monday June 26th from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service on Tuesday June 27th at 2 p.m. at MacKay United Church, 257 MacKay Street at Dufferin. Interment at Beechwood Cemetery.
