BRODIE, Christine Barbara (Babette). Peacefully at St. Francis Memorial Hospital, Barry's Bay, Ontario on Sunday, July 2, 2000 after a long illness. Babette was the beloved wife of the late James (Jim) Churchill Brodie of Montreal. Born in Montreal in 1918, the daughter of Eugene Langlois and Cecily McDonnell, both deceased. The Brodies made their home in Toronto for many years before moving to the Barry's Bay area. Predeceased by her brother Jean Langlois and several brothers and sisters-in-law. Remembered with love and gratitude by her sister Marie Therese Langlois of Combermere, Ontario, brother-in-law Alex B. Brodie of Ayr, Scotland, sister-in-law Ginny Brodie (Malcolm) of Brevard, North Carolina, and many nieces and nephews. Sorely missed by many good friends. Funeral Mass in St. Hedwig's Church, Barry's Bay, Ontario on Wednesday, July 5, 2000. Interment at St. Lawrence O'Toole Cemetery, Barry's Bay. A valiant woman! May she rest in peace.
