JACK, George Raitt. Died peacefully on Wednesday, July 5, 2000 at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital in his ninety-first year. Beloved husband of Christena. Loving father of Roderick Jack and his wife Noelle, and Dawn and her husband Dr. Jim Popkin. Cherished grandfather of Jenny, Jamie and Rob. Predeceased by his sisters Jean, Cathy and Anne and brothers Bill, Jim and Alex. Will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. George worked for the CNR in Montreal for fifty years prior to coming to Oakville where he became a proud member of the Oakville Harmonichords for fifteen years. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2000 at St. John's United Church, 262 Randall Street, Oakville at 2 p.m. Interment will be held at a later date at the Round Church in Dalhousie Mills, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. John's United Church.
