BASTIEN, Nora (Pardy) Passed away peacefully on July 8, 2000 at Iler Lodge. Born June 27, 1922 in North Sydney, Nova Scotia. Beloved wife of 59 years to Marvin Bastien. Loving mother of Byron (wife Linda) of Windsor, Ontario; Claude (wife Linda) of Oliver, British Columbia; Scott (wife Patricia) also of Windsor, Ontario. Predeceased by daughter Claudia (1946). Loving grandmother of 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Daughter of Edmund and Florence Pardy (deceased). Dear sister to Albert, Edwin, Daniel, Hebert, Ruth, Rhoda, Marion, Gladys. Predeceased by her sisters Elizabeth and Eva. Nora had been an active and devoted member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church of Windsor. Visitation at the Windsor Chapel Funeral Home, 1700 Tecumseh Road East, on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held on Thursday, July 13, 2000 at 11:00 a.m. in the Windsor Chapel. Officiating Pastor Abraham Swamidass. Interment Victoria Memorial Gardens. In kindness, donations may be made to Alzheimers Society of Windsor and Essex County.(The Windsor Star)
