MERCIER, Doris Entered into rest at the Brockville General Hospital on July 16, 2000 in her 88th year. Daughter of the late George and Mary Mercier. Survived by nephews Laurence and Archie Shanahan of Prescott and by cousins including Winnifred Pettem (Wesley) of Brockville and Brian Giffin of Ottawa. Predeceased by sisters Ethel Irene Dake and Alice Elizabeth Mercier and by a brother Albert James Mercier and by a cousin Inda Giffin. Friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Maple Vale Cemetery Smiths Falls. In memoriams to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer's Society of Leeds and Grenville will be gratefully acknowledged.(The Brockville Recorder and Times)
