LEFEBVRE Raoul 1927-2000 The family announces with great sorrow his peaceful death at home on Tuesday, July 18, 2000, at the age of 72. Loving husband of Carmelle (nee Lariviere); dear father of Come (Suzanne) Lefebvre, Pierre (Nada) Lefebvre, Andre (Yvette) Lefebvre, Jean (Cathy) Lefebvre, France (Michel) Picotte and Ginette (Donald) Donaldson; loving grandfather of Lynne Picotte, Natalie (Marc) Durocher, Jacques Picotte, Stephane, Lizanne, Karina, Natasha, Alain and Jessica Lefebvre and Calum Donaldson; beloved brother of Guy, Leo, Gilles, Alex, Roger and Yves Lefebvre. He was predeceased by his parents Paul and Lucille Lefebvre, his brother Jean-Claude Lefebvre and his sister Georgette Belair. In the early 50s and 60s, Mr. Lefebvre was an advocate for French education for the municipality of Timmins. He was also very involved with minor hockey, the Golden Bears and was an avid fan of the Montreal Canadiens. He was also a Senator of the Metis Nation of Ontario-Timmins. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 21, 2000, at St. Dominique Church. Cremation. Remembrance donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Stephens-Lessard Funeral Home, Timmins.(The Daily Press)
