BERTRAND, Leo Robert 1928 - 2000 In loving memory of Leo Bertrand who died July 19th, 2000 at home in Nepean, Ontario with courage, dignity and love. Beloved husband of Madlyn. Dear Dad and Grandpa to children Alan, Brian, Nancy, Jim and their families. Predeceased by his first son Ross. Leo is survived by his sisters Violet, Ruth and Bernice and predeceased by his brothers Gerald, Buster, Ivor and by a sister Vivian. Following a 37 year career with Bell Canada, Leo enjoyed many happy, healthy years filled with family, friends, and his lifelong love of the outdoors. Leo was proud to have recently been certified as a Ontario Fish and Wildlife Guardian. Leo's warmth and humour was deeply felt by his family and many dear friends. He loved people. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered. Special thanks to Dr. Jonathan Isserlin and wife Janet, the caring nurses of the VON, and the many friends and neighbours who visited during recent days. Your care and compassion was deeply appreciated. Friends may pay respects at a Mass in Memory for Leo at St. Monica's Church, 2080 Merivale Road (north of Fallowfield Road) Nepean on Monday, July 24th at 11:30 a.m. In Memoriam donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Children's Wish Foundation or the Victorian Order of Nurses appreciated.
