Jean Elizabeth MCCAW

ROY, Betty (nee Jean Elizabeth McCaw) Passed away peacefully on July 21, 2000 at the Hull Pavilion of the CHVO Hospital, at the age of 82 years 11 months. Born in Winnipeg, she came to Ottawa in 1940 and lived in Hull from 1957 onward. She was the daughter of the late Harrison McCaw and of the late Ethel Britton. She was the beloved wife of the late Charlie (Charles-Henri) and will be remembered lovingly and with pride by her children Blanche (Bill Clennett) from Hull and Andre (Sharlene Vaughan) from Aurora, Ont., by her beloved grandchildren Charles-Antoine and Pascal Bachand, Laura Roy, Sarah, Laurence and Benoit Clennett-Sirois, and by her wonderful great-grand-twins Simon and Dominic Bachand and their mother Sylvie Cantin. Predeceased by her new-born grandson Paul Roy and by her brother Harry McCaw. She leaves her loving sisters and brother, Ethel Grant (the late Ashley) from Vancouver, B.C., Ruth Somerville (Walter) from Hartney, Man., and Walter McCaw (Fran) from Winnipeg, Man. She is also survived by the father of two of her grandchildren, Marc Bachand (Ginette Sylvestre), by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Hermann Roy (Claire Aube) from Hull, Marie-Therese Beaupre (the late Jean) from Sturgeon Falls, Ont., and Monique and Ronald Berube of Oceanside, Calif., and by a number of nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and friends. She is predeceased also by her brother and sisters-in-law, Jean-Paul and Gabrielle Roy and Janine Roy (nee Turcotte). A Celebration of her life will be held at the Cooperative funeraire de l'Outaouais, 95 boul.
