HOWARD, Peter Maxwell. In his seventy-ninth year, peacefully at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Center on Tuesday, July 25, 2000. Son of William Brunswick Howard and Stella Grey Howard (nee Sherman), previously citizens of New Brunswick, and predeceased by two brothers, John B. and Paul S. of Montreal. Survived by brother William Brunswick Howard of Pierrefonds, Quebec and two sisters-in-law, Marion Howard of Hamilton, Ontario and Joyce Howard of Montreal, Quebec. Also survived and fondly remembered by twelve nieces and nephews, their spouses and children. An employee of the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce for over thirty years, he was most proud of his time spent as Assistant General Manager of International Banking for the bank, during which time he lived and travelled all over the world on behalf of the bank. Upon his retirement he spent many happy days doing what he loved best, camping and canoeing in the parks of Ontario with his faithful dogs, first Sam and then Max. Cremation having taken place, there will be visitation on Friday, August 11 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Giffen-Mack Funeral Home, 4115 Lawrence Avenue East, Scarborough. A funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Saturday, August 12 at 1 p.m. The family would especially like to thank the Doctors, Nurses and Staff of the D2 wing at Sunnybrook for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Parkinson's Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
