Col. (Joe) D.F.C., O.M.M., C.D., Ret'd Peacefully at the Perley Rideau Veterans' Health Centre, on Saturday, December 30, 2000, in his 80th year. Joe Ogilvie, beloved husband of Winnifred (nee Sharman). Loving father of Robert (Libby) and Donald (Denise) of Australia and Claire, Jill and Steve (Leanne) of Ottawa. Cherished grandfather of Catherine (Chris), Jason, Christopher, David, Alyssa, Liam and Taylor. Brother of Ruby (Parker), he is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends may pay their respects at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, on Wednesday, January 3, 2001 from 7 to 9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, Lisgar at Elgin, on Friday, January 5, 2001 at 1:30 p.m. Interment to follow at Capital Memorial Gardens after which friends are invited to celebrate Joe's life at the Royal Canadian Air Force Officers' Mess, 158 Gloucester Street.
