Alain Emerilde SYLVAIN

Funeral services for Hearst resident Alain Emerilde Sylvain, 44, of 13A Ninth St. were held Nov. 29, 2001 in Mattice. He had died suddenly in Hearst, police said after his body was found. Born Oct. 20, 1957 in Taschereau, Quebec, he came to the Mattice area in 1971 and had resided in Hearst for several years. Kicknamed "Ti-cass", he worked as a cutter for Hornepayne and Hearst area woods operations. Predeceased by his father Rosario Sylvain in 1963, he leaves his mother Marie-Blanche Sylvain-Hébert and Jean Hébert, both of Taschereau, Que.. Also surviving are his sisters Claudette (Aurel) Vallière of Taschereau, Jeannine (Michel) Bélanger of Amos, and Cécile Sylvain of Preissac, Que., and Aline (Paul) Cloutier of Hornepayne, and brothers Réjean (Suzette), Raymond (Marie) and Bruno (Pauline), all of Mattice, and François of Montreal, as well as many nieces and nephews. Rev. René Grandmont officiated the service at the Église St-François-Xavier Church in Mattice. Interment will be at the St-François-Xavier Cemetery.
