Marguerite (Beausoleil) Leclerc died at her home in Sault Ste. Marie on October 6, 2001. She was 75 years old. Born in Newport Vermont, she came to Opasatika in 1931. She was predeceased by her husband, Laurent Leclerc, her daughter Diane Andreola, her parents Arthur and Antoinette Beausoleil her brothers Hilaire, Antoine and Cécilien and her daughter-in-law Josephine. She is survived by: two sons Denis and Daniel of Sault Ste Marie; three daughters Denise (John) Moreau of Sault Ste. Marie, Dolores and Lynn of Toronto; two brothers Aimé and Arthur of Kap; four sisters Lina Chevrier of Sault Ste. Marie, Carmel Brooks, Patricia Sigouin and Antoinette Larochelle of Kap as well as 14 grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. The funeral service was held at St. Gregory's Church in Sault Ste. Marie
