Madeleine Belanger, 19 Hill St., Kapuskasing, died at Sensenbrenner Hospital on Apr. 23,2001. She was 69 years old. Mrs. Belanger was born on Jan. 18, 1931 in Maineville (Amos), Quebec. She worked as a housewife. She was a past member of Women of the Moose, and enjoyed crossword puzzles, cooking and gardening. Mrs. Belanger was predeceased by her parents Urchere and Agnes Duranceau, and brother Gerard Duranceau. She is survived by her husband, Ovila Belanger of Kapuskasing; daughter, Diane (Raymond) Doucet of Marathon; sons, Yves (Syvie Sabourin) and Allain (Judith Lepage Belanger), both of Kapuskasing; brothers, Roger Duranceau of Amos, Marcel Duranceau of Kapuskasing, and Claude Duranceau of Ste. Catharine. Mrs. Belanger had five grandchildren, Nathalie, Melanie, Cindy, Jason, and Chad. Father Roger Pronovost will direct the funeral services at 10:15 a.m. today at Notre Dames des Victoires church. Mrs. Belanger will be interred at the Kapuskasing Cemetery.
