Paul Andre Lacasse , of Mattice Death: July 26th, 2001 Funeral services for lifelong Mattice resident Paul Andre Lacasse, 21, of 219 Balmoral St. were held July 30, 2001. He died July 26 in a two-vehicle accident along Hwy 11 just west of the village. Born Oct. 26, 1979, he had worked at Columbia Forest Products Levesque Division's plywood plant since June 1999. He enjoyed all-terrain vehiculing, motocross, fishing, camping, snowmobiling and working in his garage. He leaves his companion Melanie Carrier of Mattice, and parents Fernande (nee Vermette) and Marcel Lacasse, both of Mattice. Also surviving are his sisters Lynda (Sylvain) Lajoie of 150 Miles, B.C., and Mona (Alain) Anger of Hearst, brothers Luc (Sylvie Duguay) and Marc (Caroline Sylvain) Lacasse, all of Mattice, in-laws Remi (Aline) Carrier of Mattice, brother-in-law Joel (Andree Brunelle) Carrier of Mattice, and four nephews. Rev. Rene Grandmont officiated the service at the St-Francois-Xavier Church. Interment followed at the St-Francois-Xavier Cemetery. Funeral director was the Salon Lafrance Funeral Home.
