Joseph Dumais, of Kapuskasing Death: October 2nd, 2001 Joseph Dumais, North Centennial Manor, Kapuskasing, died at Sensenbrenner Hospital on Oct. 2, 2001. He was 99 years old. Mr. Dumais was born March 16, 1902 in St-Alexandre, Cte Kamouraska, Quebec. He worked as a farmer until retiring in 1968. He was a member of La Forge and enjoyed reading, travelling, walking, visiting family and attending mass. Mr. Dumais was predeceased by his wife Marie-Blanche and sons Vital and Réginald. He is survived by daughters Monique Sylvain of Kitigan, Gertrude (Roméo) Dionne of Kap, Jeanne (Achille) Hache of Whitby and Lorraine (Peter) Sakon of Indiannapolis and sons Roger (Rolande), Emery and Charles (Diane), all of Kap, and Jean-Nil (Louise) of Hamilton. Also surviving are sister Sister Loranza Dumais of Quebec, 31 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Rev. Jean-Guy Mailloux directed the funeral service at Immaculée Conception. Mr. Dumais will be interred at the Kapuskasing Cemetery. Donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
