Peacefully at home, in his 64th year, after a fierce, 13 year battle with lymphoma, surrounded by the family he loved so dearly. His fighting spirit will inspire us for generations. There are so many people to thank for their generosity and dedication but none worked as tirelessly and valiantly as his wife of 37 years, Monique Verdier. She supported him throughout the course of the illness and ensured that he passed with dignity and comfort in their home. Their daughters and sons-in-law Cathy and Ken Schouten and Maxine and Robert Valiquette as well at their 5 grandchildren, wish to thank the V.O.N. nurses of Hudson, C.L.S.C. staff, Dr. R. Caplan and especially Gordon LeBoeuf who flew in from B.C. to assist in caring for his brother. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 8, 2001 at 2 p.m. at St. Thomas Church, 413 Main Street, Hudson, Quebec. The family requests that donations be made in lieu of flowers to the Jewish General Hospital Foundation, 3755 Chemin de la Cote Ste-Catherine, Montreal, (QC). Ottawa Citizen, June 7, 2001. Montreal Gazette, June 7, 2001
