(nee King) Peacefully in Ottawa on ednesday, January 3, 2001, in her 96th year, Hermione Monica Catherine Murphy. Beloved wife of the late Desmond Denis Murphy. Dear daughter of the late Minifrid Harriett Bell and Dr. Herbert Baxter King. Loving mother of Desmond Jerome Murphy (Viola) of St. John's, Nfld, and Norah Kathleen Murphy-Bigelow (John) of Barcelona, Spain. Grandmother of Victoria Houghton (Tacoma, Wash), Michael Martin, (Tampa, Fla), Kerry Martin (London, England), Heather Megill (Cornwall, Ont), Noel Murphy (St. John's, Nfld), Norah Murphy (Toronto, Ont) and Tara Murphy (Halifax, NS). Great grandmother of Carmen Houghton, Bruce Megill, Rosemarie Megill, Camille Strickland-Murphy and Keir Strickland-Murphy. Friends may attend a Memorial Service at St. Matthews Anglican Church, 217 First Avenue on Saturday, February 24, 2001, at 2 p.m., officiated by Reverend Jim Megill assisted by the Reverend Alex Lewanowicz.
