Peter passed away at his residence in Merrickville on Thursday, January 4, 2001, age 84 years. Beloved husband of Betty Ayling (nee Cooper). Loving father of Denny and Ross and predeceased by son Robert Stephen. Dear father-in-law of Muriel Ayling (nee MacIntosh). Cherished grandfather of Jennifer, Heather, Sarah and Rachael and great grandfather of Luke. A private family interment will be held followed by a memorial service to be held at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Merrickville on Saturday, January 13, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Lannin Funeral Home, Smiths Falls. In memory of Peter, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Gideons or to the Community Access Centre, Smiths Falls would be appreciated. Ottawa Citizen, January 06, 2001
