Age seventy-five of Knoxville, Tennessee, died Monday, January 8, 2001 at U.T. Medical Center. Born in Bathurst, N.B. he was associated with the pulp and paper industry for many years, most recently as founder and CEO of Valmet Enerdry. He was preceeded in death by his first wife Jane Harriet. He is survived by his wife, Willene Rush Chalmers; his son and daughter-in-law James Gordon "Jay" and Eileen Chalmers of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; his daughter and son-in-law Lucinda Ruttan "Cindy" and Kevin Pierce of Sanibel, Fla; and Susan Rush and Bruce Ewing of Knoxville, Tenn.; brother Kenneth Chalmers of Bathurst and sister Margaret Howard of Montreal. memorials to Tusculum College, P.O.
