Peacefully at the Ottawa Hospital General Site, on Tuesday January 9th, 2001 in his 67th year. Harold Nieman of R.R. #7 Pembroke, Ontario, loving husband of Dianne Nieman (nee Duncan). Loved father of Paul Nieman (Marguerita) of Vancouver, Elizabeth McKeown (Allen) of Ottawa, Ian Nieman (Denise) of Toronto and Stephanie Nieman (Carl) of Chilliwack, B.C. Loving papa of Alycia. Dear brother of Enard (Monica) of Pembroke, Nettie (Nick) of Toronto, Helen of Pembroke and Allan of Peterborough. Dear brother-in-law of Lucy of Pembroke and Irene of Victoria, B.C. Son of the late Frederick and Mary (nee Scheuneman) Nieman. Predeceased by his brothers Stanley, Garnet and Arnold Nieman. Relatives and friends may call at the MURPHY Funeral Home, 296 Isabella Street, Pembroke on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Friday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday morning January 12, in St. Columbkille's Cathedral, Pembroke at 11 o'clock. Interment St. Columba's Cemetery. In memory of Harold, donations to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Centre, Leukemia Research Foundation and the Canadian Blood Services would be appreciated by the family. Knights of Columbus 4th Degree Bishop Smith Assembly and Council 1531 will meet at the Funeral Home Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. Ottawa Citizen, January 11, 2001
