Blanche DESORMIA

(Retired Prensler Press, Arnprior) Peacefully in hospital at Arnprior on Tuesday morning, January 16, 2001. Agnes Blanche "Bud" Prensler of Arnprior in her 101st year. Beloved wife of the late Steve Prensler. Predeceased by her parents, Theophile Desormia and his wife Annie Johnston. Blanche is survived by a niece, Hazel Wentzell (Merle) of Birmingham, Alabama, as well as several cousins and many friends. Blanche was born in Arnprior on March 22, 1900. She spent her entire life in Arnprior. Along with her husband Steve, they operated Prensler Press as well as the License Bureau for many years. Upon retiring from the printing business, Bud went to work at Clancy's Drug Store, Arnprior and later spent several years as a volunteer at the Arnprior & District Memorial Hospital Opportunity Shop. Her commitment to her faith lead her to develop many lasting relationships within St. John Chrysostom Parish, the prayer group and the Catholic Women's League. Friends may call at the Pilon Family Funeral Home & Chapel, 50 John Street North, Arnprior on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and after 9:15 a.m. Thursday. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. John Chrysostom Church, Arnprior on Thursday morning, January 18th at 10:30. Interment to follow at Malloch Road Cemetery, Arnprior. Donations to the St. John Chrysostom Church Memorial Fund or the Arnprior & District Memorial Hospital would be appreciated. Members of the Catholic Women's League are requested to assemble at the funeral home for prayers on Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Ottawa Citizen, January 17, 2001
