(Owner for 48 years of Chiarelli's Beauty Salon) Peacefully at home, Wednesday, January 17, 2001 Anthony Chiarelli, at 97. Beloved husband of Elvy (Caicco). Dear father of John (Diane), Jim (Sue and Ron (Kathy). Dear grandfather of Lori (Tony Lopez), Keri (Tim Kotylak), Craig (Shelley Gustafson), Kimberly, Stephanie, and, great-grandfather of Jordan Lopez. Predeceased by his brothers Eugene (late Antonia) and Alfred (Loretta). Tony was born in Cleto, Italy on June 26, 1903, and arrived in North America in 1920 at the age of 17. He was followed by his brothers and parents in the mid-1920's and all settled and became life-long residents of Ottawa. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, 585 Somerset St. (Centretown) Thursday, from 7 - 9 p.m., Friday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral Saturday to St. Anthony's Church for Mass of Christian Funeral at 10:30 a.m. Entombment Pinecrest Cemetery.
