Peacefully at the C.U.S.E., Site Bowen, Sherbrooke, Quebec on Sunday, January 21, 2001 in his eighty-third year. Veteran of W.W.II, where he served his country as a Flying Officer (Navigator) in the R.A.F. Long-time resident of Sherbrooke where he dedicated many years to the family business. Predeceased by his loving wife Mary (nee Baldwin). Dear father of Ellen (Dennis) Tabbert of Drumbo, Ontario and Jay (Monica) of Mississauga, Ontario. Loving grandfather of Sarah, Kimberly and James. Will be missed by his sister Ann Carpenter of Woodstock, VT. Resting at Cass Funeral Home, 6 Belvedere St., Lennoxville, Quebec where a private service will be held on January 24, 2001 for the family members. Rev. Jane Aikman officiating. Interment of ashes in Elmwood Cemetery at a later date. In his memory, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. Montreal Gazette, January 23, 2001
