Died suddenly Tuesday, January 22, 2001 at the Saanich Peninsula Hospital. He is survived by his beloved wife Shirley, three sons Eric (Barbara), David (Rosario) and Stephen (Margaret), his grandchildren Venessa, Alexander, Matthew, Miko, Kira and sister Aimee Murrell. Ron was a descendant of Sir James Douglas, the 1st Governor of British Columbia and Dr. J.S. Helmcken. A private family service will be held. Donations to the Mount Newton Center, Victoria, B.C.
