Peacefully passed away at Saint-Brigid's Home, Sillery, Quebec City, on Tuesday January 23, 2001 at the age of ninety-one years. Ethel Smith, beloved wife of the late James Norman McCartney. She leaves to mourn her brother Wilbert Smith (Velma) of Hamilton, also sisters-in-law Isabel McCartney, Mrs. David McCartney (Hazel) and brother-in-law Jack Stevens of Kitchener, as well as many nieces and nephews. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no visitation. The funeral will be held at Mount Hermon Cemetery, 1801 chemin St-Louis, Sillery on Saturday, January 27 at 2 p.m., where the family will receive condolences.
