(Retired Square D, Arnprior) Peacefully in hospital at Arnprior with his devoted wife of over 50 years by his side on Friday morning, January 26th, 2001. Joseph Garnet Thompson of Arnprior at the age of 72 years. Beloved husband of Elizabeth (Nee Blake). Dearly loved father of Robert (Anne) of Trenton, Jeffrey, Jim (Sherri) and Nancy Thompson (Bob), all of Ottawa, Ruth Ranne (Jaan) of Aylesford, N.S., Ann Sofalvi (Attila) and Jane Brooks (Tom), both of Arnprior and Gail McConnell (Marcel Hebert) of Munster Hamlet. Cherished "Grandpa" of 18. Friends may call at the Pilon Family Funeral Home & Chapel, 50 John Street North, Arnprior on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and after 10 a.m. on Monday. Funeral Service will be conducted in the Pilon Family Chapel on Monday morning, January 29th at 11 o'clock with Rev. Milton Fraser of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church officiating.
