Peacefully surrounded by his family at the Elisabeth Bruyere Health Centre in Ottawa on Sunday, January 28, 2001, age 71 years. Beloved husband of the late Phylis Maloney. Loved father of Michael of Berwick, Pat (and his mother Margaret) of Ottawa and Donna Kearns (David Tremblay) of Mallorytown. Dear brother of Bernard Kearns (Norma) of Newington and Eileen (Mrs. Ken Skeoch) of St. Catherines. Dear nephew of Theresa Bazinet of Ottawa. He will be sadly missed by his special caregiver (and first cousin) Anne Marie Bazinet-Miller (and her husband Fred) of Ottawa. Loved grampa to Natasha, Zachary, Tamara and Nicholas. Predeceased by his parents Hugh Allan Kearns and Mary Murphy. (FUNERAL FOR MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL WILL BE CELEBRATED IN ST. BERNARDS ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, FINCH ON WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 31 AT 11 A.M.). Rite of Committal in the Parish Cemetery in the spring. Visitation at the Brownlee Funeral Home, 18 Front Street, Finch on Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Cancer Society or the Finch and District Senior Support Centre would be appreciated by the family.
