Born November 14, 1914, died peacefully early February 3, 2001 at the Lakeshore General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Stewart A. Charters, of Montreal and Arundel, daughter of the late Pearl Miller and Stewart Hood of Montreal, and sister of the late Donald Hood, of Toronto. She leaves her sons, Anderson Charters, of Orillia, Ontario; James Charters, of Kent, England; daughter-in-law Susan McLaughlin Charters and grandchildren Matthew, Mary Katherine, Timothy and Elizabeth, all of Orillia. "He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning nor crying nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away." Rev. 21:4. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, February 5, at St. Mark's Anglican Church, 865 Lakeshore Drive, Dorval at 11 a.m. Donations could be made to the Lakeshore General Hospital Foundation, 160 Stillview, Pointe Claire, or a charity of your choice. Interment of ashes will take place in the Spring at Mount Royal Cemetery, at the Charters' Memorial. Montreal Gazette, February 04, 2001
