(nee Steele) Died peacefully on Monday February 5, 2001 at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital, lovingly surrounded by family and friends, following a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved wife of Donald Allen Swerdfeger of Winchester in her 47th year. Loving mother of Carrie Lynn of Toronto and Shannon Kristin and Ryan Allen of Winchester. Survived by sister Connie Jean and brothers John Arthur, Roger Harold (Linda) and Mark Davis (Donna). Linda was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #108, Winchester and a Board Member of the Eastern Ontario Training Board. Friends may call at the Winchester Funeral Home, 505 Church Street, Winchester from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday February 7th. Funeral Service to be held at the Winchester United Church, 519 St. Lawrence Street, Winchester on Thursday February 8th at 2 p.m. Burial of ashes to follow at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Dundas County Hospice, the Winchester District Memorial Hospital, the Canadian Cancer Society or the Winchester United Church would be appreciated.
