(Cattleman, Owner, Stan's Meat Market & Slaughtering Plant and former Town Councillor) Peacefully in hospital at Almonte surrounded by the family he loved and who loved him on Sunday, February 11, 2001. Stan Sonnenburg of Almonte, age 71 years. Dearly loved husband of Shirley Morris and much loved dad of Morris (Sharon), Douglas (Mary) and Brian (Nancy) all of Almonte, Shirleen Duncan (Bill) of Arnprior, Lorraine Crampton (Joe) and Linda Robertson (John) both of Carleton Place and Tim (Jodie) of Pakenham. Dear brother of Eddie (Famie), Ellard (Merle), Charlie, Clara "Dolly" Trotter, and Leonard (Joan). Predeceased by 4 sisters; Mrs. Edna Guilmette, Mrs. Lena Lay, Mrs. Erva Naismith, Mrs. Evelyn White and by 5 brothers; Ted, John, Emerson, Irwin and Bobby. Brother-in-law of Helene Reynolds. Friends may call at the C.R. GAMBLE Funeral Home & CHAPEL 127 Church Street, Almonte for visiting on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Wednesday to Almonte United Church for a complete Service including committal at 2 p.m., Rev. S. Derek Shelly officiating. Spring interment Auld Kirk Cemetery. Donations in memory of Stan may be made to the Almonte General Hospital Medical Surgical Wing or the charity of ones choice.
