General Manager Kanata Sports Club After a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded with the love of his family and friends, Reid passed away at home, Monday, February 12, 2001 at the age of 49. Beloved husband of Nancy and loving father of Craig and Jennifer. Cherished son of Catherine Faith and dear son-in-law of Clayton and Barbara Craig. Remembered always by Arthur Westoby. Predeceased by his father Phillip Vinet and stepfather Morgan Faith. He will remain forever in the hearts of his brothers and sisters Ronnie Vinet (Faye) of Arnprior, Linda Presley (Bruce) of Arnprior, Elaine Scott of Kanata, Marilyn Romaine (Roger) of Pembroke, Ray Vinet (Bonnie) of Pembroke, Lorri Huppert (Greg) of Munster Hamlet and brothers and sisters-in-law Ross Craig (Elizabeth), Clifford Craig (Ronda) and Bruce Craig (Barbara). Reid will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many good friends. Reid spent the past 12 years as the General Manager of the Kanata Sports Club. His profound desire to help others was pivotal in the many acts of community service the sports club was able to achieve under his guidance. The family gives special thanks to the Bradson Home Health Care (Beth); Dr. Susan Gick, Palliative Care; Dr. Julie Bihun, Family Physician; Dr. David J. Stewart, Oncologist; and all staff. Friends may visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue at Richmond Rd., Thursday 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 16, 2001 at Britannia United Church, 985 Pinecrest Rd. (off the Queensway) at 11 a.m. followed by cremation. A reception will follow at the Kanata Sports Club (Reid Vinet Hall), Jack Charron Arena, 10 McKitrick Drive, Kanata.
