Peacefully at his home in Shawville, Quebec on Saturday, February 17th, 2001, aged 79 years. Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth Malegi. Dear father of Jeannie New and Janet Hamilton both of Shawville. Loving grandfather of 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Brother of Ethel Atkins, Ralph, Albert, Junior and Goldie. Sadly missed by son-in-law Don New. Friends may call at the W.J. Hayes & Sons Funeral Home, 134 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec on Monday, February 19th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the Howell Funeral Chapel 940 West Lebanon Street, Mount Airy, North Carolina 27030 on Thursday, February 22nd, 2001 at 2 p.m. followed by interment Mount Zion Cemetery.
