Peacefully, surrounded by family and friends, on Saturday February 24, 2001 at Suomi-Koti Nursing Home in her 98th year. Beloved wife of the late Johannes. Loving mother of the late John Aito and mother-in-law of Shirley (nee Smith). Cherished Nanny of Rick (Genevieve), Mike, Dan (Carol), and Sue (Val). Dear great grandmother of Samantha (Chris), Drew, Devin, Desiree, Matti, and Kayla. Friends may call at the RALPH DAY Funeral Home, 180 DANFORTH AVENUE (east of Broadview Subway) on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service in the chapel at 1 p.m. Reception to follow at the Suomi-Koti Nursing Home (795 Eglinton Ave E.). Donations may be made in memory of Ida to the Suomi-Koti Nursing Home.
