Douglas Robert ACRES

(Retired Ottawa Hydro) It is with much sadness and heavy hearts, we announce Doug's death on Monday, March 5, 2001, at home with his family in his 66th year. He was the beloved husband of Brenda (Campbell). Dearly loved Dad of Tracy Laird (Scott) of Kingston and Craig of Vernon. Dear brother of Geraldine Collins (Irvin) of Pembroke and Betty Holmes (late Woodrow) of Winchester. He was a very special son-in-law of Dorothy Campbell (late Leo). Doug was like a brother and mentor to Jeanette McDowell (Gordon), Barbara Lewis (Dwyane), Linda Heron (Alex), Leo Campbell (Christine), Andrea Ames (James), Paul Campbell (Andre) and Martin. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Lulu Acres, brothers Lorne and Ross, sister Lillian and his godchild and niece Kristy Dawn McDowell. He will be sadly missed by many niece and nephews. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Duncan Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 6971 Bank Street (formerly Highway 31, between Scrivens Drive and Metcalfe Corner). Wednesday. Funeral Thursday to St. Catherine of Siena Church for Mass at 11 a.m. Spring Interment Spring Hill Cemetery.
