Darquise FILION

Peacefully, with family present, in the Ottawa Civic Hospital on Saturday March 10, 2001 in her 77th year, after a long and courageous struggle. Beloved wife, best friend and constant companion for fifty-seven years of Donald Murray. Dear mother of Helen Lewis (Glynn), Kathleen Campbell (Ian), Anita Findlay (Gordon) and Barbara Murray (John). Loving "Grannie" to eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also survived by her sister Fleurette Heagle (Lyle) of Finch, ON, her brother-in-law Robert "Bob" Murray and his wife Marge and their families. Predeceased by her brother Yveline "Roy" Filion of Montebello, PQ. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street on Monday March 12 and Tuesday March 13 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Wednesday March 14 at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, 685 Walkley Road (near Riverside Drive) at 12:15 p.m. for Mass of Christian Burial. Interment Capital Memorial Gardens. The family wishes to express sincere thanks to the Doctors, Nurses and entire staff of Unit D-2 (Vascular) at the Civic for the wonderful care given to Darquise and the many acts of kindness extended to her and to members of the family during this terribly trying time.
