Begbie, Verda Janet (née McCartney) - Passed away peacefully in Ormstown on August 2, 2010 at the age of ninety-four years. Predeceased by her husband Thomas and brother Murray. Loving mother of Ronald (Beth), Joyce, Sandra (John) and Dale (Linda). Cherished Gram to Brian (Catherine), tina, Glen (Brenda), Blair (Joy), Meghan and Erioc and great-Grandmother of Annela, Garrett, Christopher, Paige and Vanessa. Verda will be missed by her brothers Quentin and Calvin as well as sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. The family will receive condolences at the McGerrigle Funeral Home Inc., Ormstown on Thursday Aug.5 between 12:30 and 2:30 followed by the funeral service from the Chapel at 2:30pm. Burial at the Ormstown Union Cemetery. Special thanks to the exceptionnial caregivers at the Centre d’Accueil in Ormstown. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Ormstown Presbyterian Church.
