1917 - 2001 Tuesday, March 13, 2001, after a lengthy illness, surrounded by his family at the age of 83 years. Giuseppe Ranieri, beloved husband of Carmela Cassone. Loving father of Giovanni (Angelina), Vincenzo (Maria), Francesco (Nina), Antonio, Joe (Maria). Also survived by 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. In Ottawa he is survived by his brother Giovanni (Domenica) and his sister Anna (late Carmelo Ielo), in Italy by his brother Domenico (Francesca) and sister Francesca (late Domenico Cassone). Predeceased by brothers Fortunato (Caterina Licandro), Pasquale (late Caterina), Vincenzo (late Giovanna), Francesco (Angela Scopelliti), Antonio and sisters Giuseppina and Maria (late Giuseppe Martino). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, 585 Somerset Street (centretown) Thursday and Friday from 3 to 8 p.m. Funeral Saturday at St-Anthony's Church for Mass of Christian Funeral at 9 a.m. Entombment at Capital Memorial Gardens.
